The Open School is the only school in Orange County where kids learn through real life and real democracy. Freedom and responsibility are the curriculum. Staff do not assign work, teach classes, or give tests. Students learn by playing, conversing, and pursuing their passions, and they grow in independence, responsibility, and compassion by practicing these things daily and authentically.

Students must be between the ages of 5 and 18.
The school is open weekdays from 8:30 to 4:30. Students must attend at least 5 hours a day, 5 days a week.
